Mercure Langkawi Pantai Cenang was located in the Pantai Cenang area. Although it was not directly facing the beachfront, the beach was just across the road and easily accessible on foot. Parking was free of charge and available at an open-air car park. Guests were required to collect a parking card from the receptionist before going to the car park.

We spent two nights in a superior room with twin single beds. The room felt spacious, and the self-controlled air conditioning kept the room nice and cold. The bed was soft and sank in slightly, making it just okay in terms of comfort. The pillows looked a bit old, and the blanket was also quite thin. The room came with a wall-mounted TV (20 channels), dressing table, weighing machine, torch light, iron and ironing board, in-room safe, mini fridge, hair dryer, two pairs of disposable slippers, bathrobes, coffee or tea-making facilities, and toiletries. Drinking water was provided via filtered tap water. There was also a complimentary one-time minibar, which included Coke, Schweppes, a Nature Valley crunchy apple crisp granola bar (a bit too sweet for my liking), and San Pellegrino sparkling natural mineral water (not really to my taste).

The bathroom had very strong shower pressure, which was very good, and the water was very hot. However, the overhead shower pressure was only average. The shower only had a half-glass partition, so water tended to splash into the toilet area. The towel hanger was also placed quite far from the shower area, which made it slightly inconvenient to reach for a towel after bathing. Cleanliness could definitely be improved, as there were black stains visible inside the toilet bowl.

To access the guest room floors, guests simply needed to tap their room key card and select the desired floor. However, during our stay, the system was not working. The hotel also had facilities including a swimming pool and a 24-hour fitness center.
