Mercure Sapporo is located in the heart of Sapporo's Susukino entertainment district, within walking distance of convenience stores, restaurants and pubs. This hotel also serves as a pickup and drop-off point for those traveling to Niseko via the Niseko Ski Resort shuttle bus. The hotel reception is on the third floor, and for security reasons, you cannot access your room straight from the first floor. Instead, you must take the lift to the third floor and use your room key card to activate the card reader to gain access to your room floor. The hotel entrance is locked from 1am to 5am. When unlocking, you have to place your room key card on the sensor. The check-in process is fast and efficient. They will also require our passports for registration. Yumoto Niseko Prince Hotel Hirafutei is located in central Hirafu upper village, just a 6-minute walk (400m) from the Hirafu Welcome Center. The hotel's location is fantastic, with easy access to the ski slopes and stunning mountain views. We were supposed to stay two nights, but I decided to stay one because there isn't much else to do but ski. The hotel only allows check-in at 3pm. The process was a little slow because according to their records, we booked two nights. However, we had already cancelled one of the nights through the booking website, and it was not shown in their system. I'm glad they were eventually able to resolve the situation. As part of the check-in process, we must present them our passport for registration. After checking in, we must pay ¥1,060 (onsen and accommodation tax) at the automated payment device.
