Merry Xmas & Happy New Year 2014

Image
This is my last post of 2013. Wishing everyone "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year". May the new year bring you and your loved ones love, loads of happiness, good luck & good health. I end this post with one of my favourite song... Last Christmas... [Chorus (2x):] Last Christmas I gave you my heart But the very next day you gave it away. This year To save me from tears I'll give it to someone special. Once bitten and twice shy I keep my distance But you still catch my eye. Tell me, baby, Do you recognize me? Well, It's been a year, It doesn't surprise me (Merry Christmas) I wrapped it up and sent it With a note saying, "I love you," I meant it Now I know what a fool I've been. But if you kissed me now I know you'd fool me again. [Chorus 2x] Last Christmas by Glee Mid Valley Megamall Mid Valley Megamall  1 Utama Shopping Centre  Paradigm Mall Paradigm Ma

Baskin Robbins

Image
When I was a kid, happiest moment was hearing the bell of the ice cream motorbike wafting through our neighbour. We will then rushed to the main gate waited patiently for the motorbike to arrive. There was a time when I was so obsessed with ice cream that I must have it everyday. This explain why I have a huge collection of the ice cream sticks. During my school days. an ice cream on a stick cost only RM0.10. My favourite was sarsi flavour. :) Sadly these ice creams were no longer available now. Once a while we need to pamper ourselves. One way of me doing it is to indulge myself with Baskin Robbins ice cream. One double junior scoop of Baskin Robbins cost RM10.80. However, every Wednesday is a Pink Day and you get to enjoy it at the price of RM7.50. Besides that, show them pink and you will also enjoy: a) Mini waffle sundae for RM9.90 or b) Happy 8 for RM9.90 Baskin Robbins is known for its "31 flavors" and my favourite flavour is Jamoca Almond Fudge. Bijan & Bar Restaurant - Kuala Lumpur

Image
Bijan & Bar Restaurant is a fine malay cuisine located in Kuala Lumpur. We made a reservation by phone earlier before heading to the restaurant. When we entered the restaurant, one of the staff guide us to our table. However, another staff trying to block this staff from bring us to our table by saying "do not let them sit if there's no reservation"! After knowing we have made reservation from his workmate, he just ignored us and walked off in a very unfriendly manner. By the way, the restaurant was half empty when we walked in and after we have finished our meal it remains the same. His reaction actually made us feel unwelcome in the restaurant but since we were already here we decided to proceed with our dinner plan. There's limited parking outside the restaurant but car jockey is available (RM10). We decided not to use the car jockey service and found a parking place nearby the restaurant. As usual there's people guarding the area and asking for money

Restoran De Rasa Sayang - Petaling Jaya

Image
Restoran De Rasa Sayang is one of our regular dinner place. Located at SS4, Petaling Jaya this restaurant served good food. Normally we will order - steamed fish topped with "Chai poh" (salted radish) and claypot "Ham har sauce" (shrimp paste) vegetables. Both are my favourite dish. You get to choose your desired fish and normally we will choose tilapia fish. Besides that, you also get to choose your vegetables for the claypot "Ham har sauce" dish. We preferred sweet potato leaves because it is tender and tastier. The dish might taste a little bit salty but it's best eaten with rice. The restaurant will be very packed during weekends and get ready to wait for at least 30 minutes. Restoran De Rasa Sayang Restoran De Rasa Sayang Restaurant ambience Cili padi with soy sauce Rice Steamed Fish "Chai Poh" Style - RM30.00 Claypot "Ham har sauce" vege - RM12.00

Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga - Puchong

Image
I just realized I have yet to publish this blog! Anyway it's better late than never right? :) So, what's good in this Restaurant Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga? My favourite was the steamed fish with superior soup that comes with seafood. The fish and prawns were fresh and the superior soup was awesome! You can drink the superior soup as much as you like because it's refillable. Besides that, there's fire underneath the plate that keeps food hot through the meal. On top of that we ordered the homemade signature tofu, long beans, curry fish head and sweet & sour pork. Signature tofu topped with spring onions and deep fried shallots was nice. The tofu was smooth and pudding-like texture. Whereas for the long beans, it was cooked perfectly. Not too raw and not too soft. Sweet & sour pork consists of deep frying pork in bite sized pieces, pineapple, pepper bell and onions which makes the dish very appetizing. Of course not to forget the curry fish head which consist o

Celestial Court (Dim Sum) - Sheraton Imperial KL Hotel

Image
Celestial Court is located in Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur. We were there last weekend for "All you can eat brunch", RM88++ per person. Dim sum is a traditional chinese cuisine served in small steamer baskets or small plates and you have it together with chinese tea. It is very famous in Hong Kong and it is a tradition for the elderly to gather for dim sum after their morning exercise. Celestial Court served variety of dim sum from deep fried to steamed dim sum. In a typical dim sum restaurant, food will be served in a dim sum cart and there's variety of dim sum for you to choose from the cart. However in Celestial Court, the friendly staff will take your order at your table. You can select any dim sum that you like from the menu. It would be better if it is a pictorial menu, at least we get to picture what we actually ordered. There's a special menu whereby you only get to order once. These are the special menu items: a) Sesame Crusted Prawn with Ma
