Chilli Vanilla - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah
We never had Hungarian food before and decided to try some of the dishes served in this restaurant Chilli Vanilla, located in the heart of Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. Chilli Vanilla is a small restaurant can accommodate up to 26 people. Almost 70% of the restaurant has been occupied when we were there. Then we realized there's a small company Christmas party held here. We started off with an appetizer, tortillas, main dish and finally dessert. We ordered frikadelle - beef meat balls with Hungarian paprika and herbs, stuffed with cheese, served in a box with crispy organic lettuce and spicy salsa. I have no idea what frikadelle is and found out later that it's actually a Danish meatballs. Not one of my favourite dish here because I find it a bit dry and I couldn't taste the cheese.
