Sydney - Day 10 (flight back home)

Image
It's our final day in Sydney after spending 2 weeks in Australia. Shyan made us a healthy homemade breakfast before sending us to the airport. We reached airport by 11am and after the immigration clearance (took around 1 hour) we still left with 25 minutes of shopping time. I managed to grab a bottle of wine before we board the plane at 12.25pm. Our flight departed one hour later and we reached Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) around 9pm. Our connecting flight to Kota Kinabalu delayed from 10pm to 10.30pm and finally we reached Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) at 1am. The whole trip was great as we get to catch up with our old friends. Even though both of us were sick during the trip, glad that our friends took good care of us. Definitely we will plan another trip in future as there's many places we have yet to explore. We'll be back! :) Sourdough bread with cherry tomatoes mashed avocado served with fried egg His lunch (in flight meal)

We bid goodbye and thanked them for the warm hospitality. When we reached Redfern Station, Shyan and Leo were there to greet us. They brought us to their car and we left our luggage there before taking a Uber to The Little Snail Restaurant & Bar. The Little Snail Restaurant & Bar is a European Restaurant in Pyrmont, located near the Darling Harbour. They are famous for their escargot. Shyan bought their lunch set meal $ 40 per person that comes with an entrees, mains and desserts. I chose salt and pepper calamari (lightly coated in panko, fried with petite mesclun, capers and cornichons aioli) as my entree while my partner chose Escargots De Bourgogne (dozen snails marinated in herb-infused, court bouillon, oven baked in garlic butter). Calamari was good. It's crispy on the outside and tender o
