On the last day of the trip we had Subway sandwiches for breakfast, checked out from Heritage Court and wandered around Oamaru town before heading to the airport in Christchurch. We stopped by Whitestone Cheese hoping to see the cheese making process but was disappointed when we found out they have completed the process. Ended up we hang around the cafe and tried some of the cheese. I tried a small portion of the cheese and it was too cheesy and rich for me. I can't remember the name of the cheese that I have tried but the cheese taste was very strong.   We continued our journey and stopped by Village Inn in Geraldine town to have our lunch. The temperature was -2'C when we woke up in Merino Country Farmstay , Lake Tekapo. We were so excited to see thin layer of ice flakes on a lawn. The owner, Greg and Nicola prepared breakfast for us - bread, croissants, cereals, fruits such as peach & pears, variety of jams, fresh milk & orange juice and yogurts. After we had our breakfast, Greg brought us to see his farm. We only managed to see few of his sheeps and the rest were no where to be seen! Sad... as we were hoping to see more animals since we were staying in a farmstay. He then drove us to Lake Tekapo and Mt John. The view from Mt John was amazing. We saw Lake Tekapo and the surrounding mountains, the Earth & Sky Mt John Observatory and many telescopes on the site. There's also night time stargazing tour at Mt John but we didn't take the tour. We stayed in Novotel when we were in Queenstown, New Zealand. Breakfast was not included in our room rate, so we went for breakfast hunting early in the morning around 7.30am. We ended up in McD, bought a NYC Benedict Bagel and a Bakehouse Brekkie Roll. The Bakehouse Brekkie Roll was really good, consists of two slices of bacons, egg, a slice of cheese and a golden potato rosti. The bread was soft and the sauce was good. However NYC Benedict Bagel's bread was a bit dry and hard for me. Consists of a slice of bacon, cheese, egg and creamy Hollandaise sauce. We wandered around Queenstown, tried variety of ice creams in Lick and Patagonia before heading to Kawarau Bridge Bungy. The Kawarau Bridge Bungy is 43m (142ft). We saw some jumper facts displayed at the registration counter - Oldest bungy was 94 years old and youngest bungy was 10 years old. Heaviest bungy was 235kg and lightest bungy was 35kg. Fox Glacier Lodge  is a great place to stay. Breakfast is included in the room rate and the owner prepared freshly home made bread, variety of fruit jams, fresh fruits, milk and fruit juice for us. We packed our things, left Fox Glacier Lodge around 10am and headed off to our first destination of the day which was Lake Matheson.   Lake Matheson takes its name from Murdoch Matheson who ran cattle on these Cook River Flats in the 1870s, and opened a store and butchers shops 15km away at Gillespie's Beach to service the mass of gold seekers. The Lake Matheson walk is part of Westland Tai Poudini National Park and Te Wahipounamu (place of greenstone) South West New Zealand World Heritage Area. Down and dusk are often the best times to view the lake's reflection, before the wind or cloud blurs the image. We woke up at 7am to have our breakfast (we had hotdog and bread), pack our things and left Mountain Jade Backpacker  around 8.30am. We visited the Jade Factory situated just below Mountain Jade Backpacker, open daily from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Jade Factory work with some of the New Zealand's leading jade cravers to bring tradisional and contemporary jade jewellery such as necklaces, earrings and bracelets carved from Jade sourced from New Zealand and around the world. Our next destination after the Jade Factory was the National Kiwi Centre situated in the heart of Hokitika. Entrance fees - $80 for 5 adults and 3 school aged student. Open daily from 9am to 5pm during summer and 9.30am to 4.30pm during winter.
