Simpang Mengayau Chalet - Kudat, Sabah
Simpang Mengayau Chalet is just 4 minutes walk from the Tip of Borneo. This is the closest chalet to the Tip of Borneo. There's 3 types of room - family house consist of 2 queen size bed, grouping house / couple room - one house with either 3 rooms or 4 rooms and dorm. We stayed in a couple room consists of 2 single beds, self controlled air-conditioning, TV which is not working (fuzzy channel) and coffee or tea making facilities. The condition of the room was simple and old with a musty smell. The bed was soft enough to allow you to sink into it. There's no soap and shampoo in the bathroom and we have to request it from the housekeeping. Besides that, drinking water is not provided. Basically, you have to either boil or bring your own drinking water there. Apart from that, toilet does not flush properly. Bathroom comes with cold or hot water and water pressure was great.
