Burlington Hotel - Hong Kong

Image
Burlington Hotel is located in the heart of Wan Chai, and the Cityflyer A11 bus from Hong Kong International Airport stops right in front of the hotel. Many eateries and coffee shops are just a short walk from the hotel. The staff are all very friendly, including the housekeeping lady. The check-in process is quick and efficient. They will also require our passports for registration. We were assigned the 28th floor, which is the highest. On the 19th floor, there is a Sky Garden with complimentary coffee, tea and drinking water. There are vending machines, chairs where you may relax, a microwave oven and an electric cooking pot. This floor also includes a small gym. The area can be chilly as it is not enclosed. To access the room floor and Sky Garden via lift, a room key card is required. We stayed two nights in a standard double room that comes with a double bed, an LG HD flat-screen TV with various channels, a working desk, air conditioning with individual temperature control, a mini ...

Prudential Hotel - Hong Kong

Prudential Hotel Hong Kong is located in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, just next to the Jordan Station Exit E. The Airbus Route A21 from the airport stops in front of Prudential Center and the hotel is just around the corner. You will need to climb a few stairs to get to the concierge, but fear not as the hotel staff is welcoming and will assist you with your bags. Apart from that, you will need to ride an escalator to reach the hotel reception, which is situated on level 2. It is only after 3pm that the hotel allows check-in. The elevator to the room floor requires the room key card. We stayed four nights in a superior king room that comes with a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a working desk, air conditioning with individual temperature control, a mini fridge, an in-room safe, two pairs of disposable slippers, a 2-seater sofa, a hair dryer, two complimentary bottles of mineral water, four cans of soda, coffee or tea making facilities, complimentary WiFi and toiletr...

3D Inn Hong Kong

Image
3D Inn Hong Kong is located in Tsim Sha Tsui, just less than 1 minute walk to MTR Tsim Sha Tsui Station Exit D1 and Tsui Wah Cafe. Apart from that, it is just 8 minutes walking distance to Avenue of Stars. Even though it is strategically located, the building itself is a bit rundown. It's a flat above shops. You'll find plenty of tailors as well as money changers on the ground floor. We didn't know it was exhibition week until we arrived at Hong Kong International Airport. All the hotels either fully booked or very expensive. We made a huge mistake by booking a last minute hotel as we were hoping for a best deal. Finally we booked 3D Inn Hong Kong through agoda.com which was the cheapest and this one star hotel price increased by more than five times compared to the off-peak rate. Upon arrival, we went to 13th floor for registration. (Do take note of the elevator as it only serve even or odd number floors) Front desk staff was very nice and friendly. In fact she allowed ...
