Ceylon Crab House - Kuala Lumpur

Image
Ceylon Crab House is located at Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC). This is the first time I had Sri Lankan food. We reached there around 7pm and the restaurant is empty. BSC is like a dead mall and I wonder how long this restaurant will sustain. Since we are the only customer, the staff are very attentive and friendly. Basically we are here to try their Sri Lankan Crabs. There's three types of Sri Lankan Crabs:  1. XXL - RM 22 per 100g 2. XXXL - RM 24 per 100g 3. Jumbo - RM 26 per 100g We ordered the XXL Sri Lankan crabs (~ 900g) cooked in Negombo curry style, chicken varuval, Sri Lankan Roast Paan and white rice. Roast Paan is Sri Lanka's most loved traditional type of bread but it tastes just like normal bread to me. I love chicken varuval, spicy dry fried chicken cooked with roasted curry powder, onions, ginger, garlic and fresh tamarind juice. However, their chicken varuval is just too spicy for my liking and lack of flavour. In fact, one of the chicken tastes as if it's be

Cititel Mid Valley - Kuala Lumpur

Cititel Mid Valley is located in Mid Valley City and it's connected to Mid Valley Shopping Mall. We booked two rooms with connecting door since my partner's cousin will be joining us as well. They allowed us for early check in at 11am. Our room comes with a queen size bed while his cousin's room comes with two single beds. The rooms are small and cramped. In fact, I have to keep my cabin size luggage close all the time because there's not enough space for two open luggage. This reminds me of Japan. The room looks modern, bright and clean but the air conditioner not cooling enough. Minimum temperature for the air conditioner setting is 22℃. Bed is bouncy but pillow is comfy. Our room comes with a ceiling fan, in-room safe, free WiFi, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, LCD TV with limited channels (Astro Supersport channel is lagging), mini fridge, disposable slippers, 2 complimentary bottles of mineral water, coffee or tea making facilities, working desk and basic toiletri

Our stay at  The Centrepoint Hotel  includes breakfast for 2 person. Buffet breakfast starts from 6.30am to 10am. I went down for breakfast around 9.30pm and there's not much variety of food. Overall food doesn't taste good.  Fried kway teow with seafood ball is too salty for me and same goes for the ginger beef. The beef is chewy and tough. Apart from that, the fried egg is cold. Sad to say that the only dish that I enjoy is the plain congee with crispy anchovies. Restaurant ambience Juices and plain water Cereals Pastries Plain congee Condiments for congee Fried kway teow with seafood ball Ginger beef Dim sum and bacon Nasi minyak Green plain salad with assorted dressings Fruits and yogurts My breakfast My breakfast Fruits C.A. Mohamed is just 3 minutes walking distance (200m) from  The Centrepoint Hotel . Their roti kosong is only available from 7am to 11.45am and 3pm to 8.30pm. We reached there around 11.30am and they no longer accept order for the roti kosong. Ended up we
