Located in the heart of Melaka city, Courtyard by Marriott Melaka is a modern hotel that offers easy access to nearby attractions, food spots, and shopping areas, making it a convenient choice for both short getaways and longer stays.

The reception area stood out as very spacious, bright, and welcoming. Check-in was smooth, and the staff throughout our stay were very friendly and helpful. The hotel also provides free parking. We parked at level 5 of the car park, while the main lobby is located on the ground floor (G). The parking system uses automatic number plate recognition (ANPR), which makes the process very smooth. During check-in, we only needed to register our car plate number at the front desk. After that, entry and exit were hassle-free as the barrier automatically detected the vehicle without requiring tickets or payment.

The hotel rooms are located from level 10 up to level 28. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bed was comfortable, and the overall layout felt cosy without being cramped. Basic amenities such as filtered drinking water, coffee and tea-making facilities, toiletries, ironing equipment, in-room safe, and a hair dryer were provided. The TV came with around 21 channels, which was decent for entertainment. Water pressure in the bathroom was acceptable, and the room had good blackout blinds that made it completely dark for a good night’s sleep.

However, there were a few issues during our stay. The air-conditioning was not very cold at night, even at the minimum setting of 20°C. The toilet also had no ventilation, so odours lingered longer than expected after use. The hair dryer provided initially was not working, but the staff responded quickly and replaced it upon request.

Facilities are located on level 8, which includes the gym and swimming pool. The pool has a depth of about 1.2m (3.9ft) and there was no lifeguard on duty. The gym was compact but well-equipped enough for a basic workout. Overall, our stay at Courtyard by Marriott Melaka was pleasant and comfortable. The clean rooms, convenient parking system, good location, and friendly service made the experience enjoyable.
