Macau - Day 6 (Final day)

Image
It's our final day in Macau and we checked out from  Hotel Beverly Plaza Macau  around 11am. Check out process was a bit slow because they need to confirm the condition of our room before returning our deposit. We left our luggage in the hotel luggage room and walked to  Hou Keng Fan Tim, 13 minutes walking distance from our hotel stay. We ordered 2 plates of roasted duck mixed with roasted pork rice and 1 teapot of Chinese tea. Rice comes with cabbages as well. Roasted pork was good but slightly salty. I'm not a vege lover but the cabbage was tasty. Roasted duck on the other hand tasted so-so with non-crispy skin but glad that there's no gamey taste on it. (Total bill: MOP$ 68) Hou Keng Fan Tim Free flow of Chinese tea Roasted duck mixed roasted pork rice with cabbage Address: Hou Keng Fan Tim No. 30 Travessa dos Becos, Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro, Macau Opening hours: 5am to 3pm daily St. Dominic Church is just 2 minutes

Macau - Day 5

Casa De Cha Long Wa is located across the famous Red Market in  Rua Norte do Mercado, within 30 minutes walking distance or 9 minutes drive from Hotel Beverly Plaza Macau . We decided to take Uber from our hotel to this dim sum restaurant. (MOP$ 32.74). Casa De Cha Long Wa is a traditional tea house for dim sum. We arrived there around 11am and it was quite empty. There's a self-service trolley dim sum located beside the staircase. You will have to open the basket one by one to select your preferred dim sum.  We only took the  steamed BBQ pork buns and pork dumplings. There's not much of a selection. I was a bit disappointed because the dim sum was not hot enough while serving. Hence, the pork dumpling's skin was dry and hard but the pork filling was good. On the other hand, steamed BBQ pork bun tasted so-so with too little pork filling. The staff was very friendly and recommended us to try their b oiled chicken in Cantonese style with spring onions and mashed ginger.
