My blog was idle for more than 3 months and during that time I was so unmotivated to do anything. I was in my dream world and glad that finally I'm back on track. After a long break, I decided to blog about Korean food. I owe my special buddy a big favour and no matter what I have to treat him a good meal. So we ended up at Outdark SS15, Subang Jaya. This restaurant has a dim lighting and it was packed with youngsters. We ordered Cheese Kingdom - spicy Korean chicken leg meat wrapped with cheese, serves with assorted side dishes such chewy rice cake, seaweed rice, kimchi, pineapple and sweet corn. The portion was big enough to feed three adults. We requested for a less spicy chicken leg meat and it turned out just nice. However, chicken wrapped with cheese was way too cheesy and after our third piece, our appetite vanished. Among all the side dishes, seaweed rice was my favourite but you need to eat it while it's hot. Else the seaweed rice tends to dry out and harden. ...

Everyone was talking about this baked cheese tart and we decided to check it out. We bought 2 tarts from Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart in Empire Shopping Gallery. It was hot, crusty, creamy and cheesy. There's 3 ways to eat a Hokkaido baked cheese tart - fresh from the oven (just like what we did), chilled it and eat it when frozen or reheat it in oven toaster. My point of view, one piece is more than enough for me. It's just too rich. Besides that, I would consider it as being overpriced. Will I crave for it? Hmm... most probably not... Yes! We're back after more than a year! How time flies. You can read my first visit to Jibby & Co by clicking here . This time I'll keep it short and simple. I ordered my favourite seafood hotpot served with toasted Turkish bread. It's still as good as before. Same goes to my favourite dessert Nanalicious! Price remains the same after a year but excluding 6% GST. This round we only managed to try the seafood Aglio Olio because I can't stop myself from ordering my favourite seafood hotpot! Seafood Aglio Olio consists of spaghetti, tiger prawns, butter fish, blue mussels, squid  with baby spinach, chili flakes and extra virgin olive oil. Perfect pasta! Spaghetti was cooked perfectly, not too soggy or hard. This dish was full of flavour and just one word to describe it. Delicious! Three days before Christmas last year we had Jibby & Co for our dinner. Even though it's a bit late, I'm still going to post it here as I really enjoyed the seafood hotspot. We heard the queues were insane during weekends and decided to give it a try on a normal weekday. It was a rainy day and we have no problem finding a seat. My partner ordered soft shell crab burger on Brioche, comes with Asian coleslaw, spicy mayonnaise and sweet potato fries, while I ordered seafood hotspot consist of p rawns, pan fried Atlantic salmon, calamari, clams and butter fish hotpot served with toasted Turkish bread. I love the seafood hotspot. The sauce was really delicious! However, the portion was rather small.  The soft shell crab burger was something new to us. Special dish but it looks like you're eating a spider with the legs sticking out between two slices of brioche. I have never been able to enjoy the soft shell crabs because of the texture. Once in awhile we will purchase food deals from the websites. One of the pros when you purchase food deals is - you can save up to 50% or even more! Cons - be prepared to expect the unexpected ( In terms of food quality and service ) So last week, we decided to try our luck again and purchased a Mexican food deal. We ended up at "The Shepherdoo Restaurant & Lounge". We purchased the RM40 vouchers that entitles us to a RM80 meal! We ordered Quesadilla de Hongo, Mexican buffalo wings, Pasta ala Pollo and Hot black. Our first dish was Mexican buffalo wings - baked chicken wings coated in hot sauce and ranch dressing with cucumber sticks on the side. When I took the first bite of the buffalo wings, my expression was.... omg... it's so salty and sour! However when I continue chewing, the saltiness tend to fade away and the dish turned out to be quite good. The chicken wing was well marinated. Slightly crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Last Friday I had a delightful poolside buffet dinner at e.City Hotel, Subang Jaya. The poolside buffet dinner is located on level 13A of e.City Hotel. It was a farewell dinner for our current Managing Director and at the same time welcoming our new Managing Director. The buffet dinner consists of desserts, seasonal fruits (such as watermelon, papaya, honeydew & pineapple), salad bar, baked potato, satay (skewered grilled meat), fish, squid, prawns, vegetables, sausages, lamb, beef, chicken wings, thai fried rice, bread and fruit rojak. Fruit rojak is a type of snack consists of cucumber, pineapple, jicama, and guava mixed with prawn paste. Rojak means mix and one of the main favourite among locals. One of my favourite dish is the black pepper steak although it's a little bit salty for me. The beef is tender, juicy and most importantly there's no gamey taste. Besides that, I love the chicken wing "percik" style, grilled prawn and baked potato....
