Puchong Yong Tau Fu

Image
Yong Tau fu is a chinese cuisine originated from from the Hakka clans. Yong tau fu means tofu stuffed with meat paste of fish. Three things that makes a yong tau fu special are the fish paste, sauce and the soup. This Puchong Yong Tau Fu has it all... Puchong Yong Tau Fu is located opposite SRJK (C) Han Ming at Puchong. The place will be very crowded during lunch and dinner time especially weekends. Next to the cooking area, there is a place for you to select your yong tau fu. There's variety of yong tau fu for you to choose from such as brinjal, ladies finger, bitter gourd, red chili, fu chok, tau pok, tofu, fish paste, dumplings and many more. After you have selected your yong tau fu, hand over to the staff and inform them your table number. Each table will have a table number. The staff will bring it to your table when the food is ready. These are my favourite - ladies finger stuffed with fish paste, fish paste, fried fu chok and fried tau pok stuffed with fish paste. T

Lighter collection

Image
One of my hobbies is collecting unique or cute lighters. I just love the lighters from Japan. Basic lighters but came with cute and unique packaging. I will definitely ask my best buddy to get me a lighter everytime she goes to Japan for business trip. *Buddy, if you are reading this, thanks a million ya "domo arigato gozaimasu"* ;) Hehehe... I was hoping that she will go to Japan for business trip more often so that she can get me more lighters. :p There's the Pink Panther lighter, Odate Buta lighter and even Rilakkuma lighter. Besides lighter, I love pen knife as well. One of my favourite is the Victorinox pen knife which came with lighter, scissors, short clip blade and nail files (a tool used to gently grind down and shape the edges of nails). Great weapon to keep in your handbag for emergency use. :) My first lighter from Japan 2nd lighter from Japan - Pink Panther 3rd lighter from Japan - Odate Buta 4th lighter from Japan

Meatworks Restaurant - Petaling Jaya

Image
Meatwork is located inside Citta Mall, Ara Damansara. The restaurant is clean with nice ambience. When we arrived around 8.30pm on a Friday night, the restaurant was quite empty. The staff was friendly and the service was good. The menu consists of appetizer - soups, potatoes, onion rings and salads, main dishes - burgers, steak, ribs, lamb, chicken, duck, pasta and fish, desserts - ice creams, pies, brownies, cheesecake and many more. I ordered the Sirloin served with creamed potato mash, some long beans and corn. I like my Sirloin to be well done. When the dish was served, the Sirloin was perfectly cooked without any blood. It was tender, juicy, well marinated and flavourful. The creamed potato mash was very creamy and smooth. Besides that the corn was good too. My partner ordered the Baked Silver Cod served with creamed potato mash, vegetables and salads. The fish was fresh and perfectly baked. We were too full to try their dessert after our meal. Overall the dishes were g

Tony Roma's, Sunway Pyramid - Petaling Jaya

As we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the waiter who showed us the way to our table. We went through the menu, placed our order and waited patiently for our meal to be served. The waiter served our drinks and a complimentary bread, came with a small scoop of butter. The bread was warm - soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Perfectly matched with the butter. While waiting for our food, I tried all 4 of Tony Roma's sauces: Carolina honeys, Tony Roma's original, Blue Ridge Smokies and Red Hots. Among the 4 sauces, my favourite was the red hots and least favourite was the blue ridge smokies. The blue ridge smokies sauce taste like the BBQ sauce which I don't really fancy much. The red hots sauce wasn't really that spicy but matched well with the beef ribs. I ordered the Filet Medallions and Bountiful Beef Ribs served with coleslaw and loaded mashed potatoes under the Ribs and combos menu. You will get two perfectly prepared filet medallions topped with
