Perth - Day 9 (The B bar)

Joejo invited us to her house for lunch and she made a delicious mee hoon kueh for us. Mee hoon kueh is a hand torn noodle dish served in a savoury anchovy based soup. She adds in prawn, mushroom, pork slices, egg and vegetables. A comforting dish that helps us start the day off right and keep us warm in cold weather.

We have no idea where to eat for dinner and randomly walk into this restaurant. The restaurant has a good ambience with live music. I ordered Chicken Harlem - grilled chicken in a creamy pepper sauce served with fries and salad garnish, while my partner had grilled fish on bruschetta. Chicken is tender and juicy. Both the dishes are nice. We ordered chocolate mud cake for dessert. It's rich, moist, fudgy and pair well with ice cream.

After dinner, we walked to First Choice Liquor Market and I got myself a bottle of Jacob's Creek Chardonnay. A sparkling wine that has a well-balanced taste, easy to drink and smooth.

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
