Perth - Day 1 (Baldivis Chinese BBQ Restaurant)

This is our 5th time to Perth. Yes! You heard correctly. It's our 5th time. The last time we went there was back in 2017. If it's not because of the pandemic, this might be our 6th or 7th times. Hahaha...

We took the morning flight that departs at 9.35am. The flight journey is around 5 hours 50 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Perth Airport. We reached KLIA one day earlier and stayed at Sama-Sama Hotel, KLIA. That night, we met up with our friend for dinner at Restaurant Sinki. We love their signature chili fish and this round we ordered the same chili fish, fried noodles with prawns, spinach with tofu & meat and steamed chicken. Overall all the dishes are good.

We check out from the hotel at 7.40am and walk to KLIA since there's a long queue for the buggy service. It's only a 5 minutes walk from Sama-Sama Hotel to KLIA. Our flight delayed for half an hour and finally departed at 10.05am. Malaysia Airlines only provide one in flight meal and I had nasi lemak. The coconut milk rice is too salty and I guess this is one of the worst in flight meal that I had so far. We reached Perth Airport around 3.30pm and went through the immigration process. A sniffer dog named Mike sniffed passengers and luggage at security check point but showed no interest in us at all.

Finally we're out at the arrival hall after went through an hour of customs and immigration process. Leo came and pick us up and we had a warm welcome dinner at Baldivis Chinese BBQ Restaurant. What a coincidence because five years ago before we left Perth, we had our lunch at this restaurant too. I like their prawn as it's fresh and succulent. Thanks Marcus for the dinner treat!
