CitizenM Taipei North Gate Hotel - Taipei, Taiwan
CitizenM Taipei North Gate Hotel is located in Ximending area approximately 12 minutes walk (850m) from Ximending Night Market. They allowed us for early check in at 12pm. We stayed 2 nights and all their rooms are identical, designed for 2 adults with one XL bed to share. There's a tab for you to control the room climate, curtains, blinds, lights and also the bathroom light colour.
The room looks modern, bright and clean. Both bed and pillow is comfy. However, the room is quite small and we have to keep our cabin size luggage close all the time because there's not enough space for open luggage. There's a wall mounted TV with 67 channels and you can even cast your content from your own device to CitizenM TV. Our room comes with a mini fridge, hair dryer, in-room safe, free WiFi, disposable slippers, toiletries, 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, torch light and an extra fluffy pillow. There's no coffee or tea making facilities in the room.
Bathroom looks like a small cubicle with no lock and shower area is separated from the toilet with a shower curtain. There's no drainage hole on the toilet area and sometimes water from the shower area will splash over and causing minor flooding. Basically the bathroom is a wet room. Water pressure is normal and water is very hot. There's two bottles of shower dispenser mounted on the wall but both written as shower/shampoo. There's no proper indication for shower gel and shampoo. So I just assume that the cream liquid soap is for shower and green liquid soap is for shampoo...
Key card is required for access to guest room floor. There's four lifts and not all the lifts will go up to the top floor. During peak hours if you are staying on the top floor there might be a waiting time for your lift.
