The Palm Suite is located in Tanjung Tokong Penang, just within walking distance of McDonald's and Starbucks. There are ten of us, and his sister-in-law rented five suites. The room looks modern, and the bathroom comes with a hot tub. However, the hot tub is covered with grime. It is kind of gross because the tub is greasy too. There is a small stool for you to step up before going into the tub. I find it quite dangerous, as the stool can easily flip over, and there is no handle to hold while climbing into the hot tub.

The water pressure is good, and the water is hot enough. The bathroom features a sliding door with no lock. However, opening the bathroom sliding door will close the open wardrobe. If you do not close the in-room safe box door or your luggage protrudes from the closet, the sliding door will not open. My partner forgot to close the in-room safe box door, which left me stranded in the bathroom twice. Luckily he's in the room, or else I'll be spending several hours in the bathroom!

The bed is comfy despite the thin blanket. Occasionally, when streaming movies, the TV lags. Our deluxe king suite comes with a king-size bed, a flat-screen smart TV with YouTube, Netflix, Prime Video and iQIYI, an in-room safe, two pairs of disposable slippers, an iron, an ironing board, an umbrella, a hair dryer, a couch, a working desk, a mini fridge, coffee or tea-making facilities, complimentary snack, drinking water (in glass bottles without any seal), complimentary WiFi, a ceiling fan and self-controlled air conditioning.

There's no swimming pool or gym, and this motel only has two floors. Private parking is available for free, and you can enter the rooms straight from the parking lot. There is no lift, and we are glad that we are staying on the ground floor. Apparently, inside our room, I can hear children running upstairs and people locking or getting in and out of their cars in the parking lot. As a result, while this motel provides practical benefits for some, those who prefer peace and extra amenities might need to look for alternative lodging options to get what they need.
