St. Giles Boulevard Hotel - Kuala Lumpur

The St. Giles Boulevard Hotel is connected to the Mid Valley Megamall. We chose to stay at this hotel because shopping is so convenient. They allow for early check-in before 12pm but they only have two single beds available. We stayed three nights in an urban room that comes with two single beds, a working desk, an iron, an ironing board, a mini fridge, a weighing scale, IPTV with limited channels but a variety of movies, a hair dryer, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, air conditioning with individual temperature control, coffee or tea-making facilities, and toiletries.

Unfortunately, there is no drinking water in the room. They only provide two empty bottles for you to refill the water from the water dispenser in the room corridor. Besides that, there are no disposable slippers. During housekeeping they did not replenish the facial tissues, complimentary tea bags and bathroom floor mat.

The room appearance is basic, brightly lit, and clean. The bed and pillow are comfortable. However, the working desk has a low partition, which restricts leg movement and makes working uncomfortable. The shower area has only a half-glass partition, but luckily water did not splash into the toilet area when showering. The water pressure is low, and there is slight inconsistency in hot and cold water supply. Besides that, the shower floor tends to be slippery when wet.

The hotel facilities include a gym and a swimming pool at level 9. You need to tap your room key card on the reader panel to access floors. In the morning, I heard housekeeping handling kitchenware outside our room. Overall, the hotel experience was average and not exceptional.
