Shangri-La's Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa is located in Batu Ferringhi beach. We decided to stay 3 nights here (before going back to his hometown) and at the same time to unwind ourselves from work stress. Well yes... we are still very cautious about Covid-19 and tried our best to protect the people around us especially elderly persons.

My partner booked a Garden Wing Deluxe Garden view room and it's so nice of them to upgrade our room to seaview room. Basically we have our own private balcony facing the Andaman sea. Our room comes with a king size bed, 2 seater sofa, TV (bad sound system) with limited Astro channels but they have in-house movie channels, complimentary drinking water with safety seals, coffee or tea making facilities, in-room safe, slippers, iron, ironing board, bathrobe, hair dryer, mini fridge, self controlled air conditioning, ceiling fan with wall-mounted speed control, toiletries, one time complimentary fruits (longan) and daily supply of complimentary snacks.

Room is spacious, comfortable and clean. Bed is comfy and nice. Bathroom is very spacious that comes with a bathtub and shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. However, there's no safety for the bathtub as the safety grip handle is unreachable when you are trying to get up from the bathtub. Even though they do provide a non-slip bath mat but it's safer to have a bathtub side rail that's reachable. Water pressure is good and most importantly water is hot enough. Apart from that, their bathroom sink comes with hot & cold water but the towel bar in front of the sink stick out too far, causing me to hunched over the sink.

If you realized, there's no working desk in this hotel room. Basically they are telling us to relax as many of us have forgotten how to truly unwind. Hotel facilities include swimming pool (with life guard on duty), ping pong table and gym. Key card is required for hotel lifts. Overall it's a pleasant stay and a great place to relax.
