Eastin Hotel - Penang

Eastin Hotel is within walking distance to Queensbay Mall and just 10 minutes (7km) drive to Penang International Airport. We stayed 1 night in a deluxe room that comes with 2 single beds, working desk, LED TV with very limited Astro channels, in-room safe, mini fridge, complimentary drinking water, snacks and can drinks, open concept wardrobe, iron, ironing board, disposable slippers, free WiFi, hair dryer, toiletries and self controlled air conditioning.

Room looks clean but slightly dim for me. Bed is comfy as they added an extra layer of mattress pad for comfort. Shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. Water pressure is low and shower head spray has been set to power spray mode. We have to stick to this shower spray mode because the shower head is mounted too high and I'm just too short to reach it. Apart from that, there's some poop stains on the toilet bowl. Not to mention the towels were old, no longer fluffy and worn out. Room is very cold but glad that we can adjust the temperature.

Hotel facilities include gym and swimming pool. However, you need to walk past a row of guest rooms to reach the outdoor swimming pool. A room key card is required to access the lift.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
