The Last Polka feel-good ice cream

We never heard of this ice cream until a friend of ours bought us 4 cups (100ml each) of different flavours. "If you are reading this, thanks again :)"

Only then we found out that The Last Polka is a homemade ice cream in KL. It was made with 100% natural ingredients combining their French-style ice cream with the Asian flavours. They stock their ice creams around PJ and KL area. If you plan to try out this ice cream, you can drop by at The Bee in Jaya One.

The ice cream tend to melt easily and the texture was smooth and creamy with little air. The ice cream may look a bit plain but it was full of flavour and the sugar level was just right. Besides the 4 flavours listed  below, they have rum & raisin, deep dark chocolate, salted gula melaka (which is the best seller), french toast, guinness, nutella, teh tarik and green tea.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Room type: a) Standard quad room b) Standard double room without balcony c) Standard double room with balcony d) Dormitory - 10 person e) Camping We stayed in a standard double room without balcony. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
