Swiss Garden Resort & Spa (Balok beach) - Kuantan, Pahang

Swiss Garden Resort & Spa is located at Balok Beach, Kuantan. We stayed in a deluxe garden view room with a king size bed. Both the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. However the water heater was not hot enough.

We decided to have a relax trip and to sleep until late in the morning but we were woken by the noise of kids running and screaming at the corridor around 9.30am. Next thing we know, the housekeeping lady started knocking at our door and even tried to open it. Luckily we latch the door from inside. Since we were given a door tag on housekeeping, I think the housekeeping should only be carried out when the hotel guest leave the door tag on or maybe it was my mistake for not leaving the "do not disturb" door tag instead.

The recreational facilities include an outdoor jacuzzi,  paddling pool for children and a free-form swimming pool. Do becareful at the free-form swimming pool because the depth is 1.5m! Since I'm not tall enough and I can't swim, I thought of soaking myself in the jacuzzi but to my disappointment the water looks murky. In the end I can only sit at the pool side and enjoy the view. :(

The staff were friendly and helpful. They even helped us to carry our things to the car when we left. The check-in and check-out process was pretty smooth. Just love the sandy beach and a great place to enjoy the evening sea breeze. Check out the beach photos here

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay.
