The Gardens Hotel - Kuala Lumpur
The Gardens Hotel is attached to the Gardens Mall and Mid Valley Megamall. We decided to stay in this hotel because shopping is really convenient. We stayed 3 nights in a deluxe room that comes with a king size bed, lazy sofa chair, working desk, complimentary mineral water, coffee or tea making facilities, mini fridge, bathrobe, iron, ironing board, disposable slippers, in-room safe, toiletries, hair dryer, weighing scale which is not working and a fuzzy LCD TV with very limited TV channels (Astro channel not available).
Room is spacious but looks old and doesn't smell good. Bed is very soft and slightly bouncy. Apart from that there's an unpleasant sweaty smell on the bed. So I requested housekeeping to change the bedsheets and pillow the next day since I only found out about it at night when I was about to sleep. Yup... I slept one night on the stinky bed. It sounds gross but I don't feel good calling housekeeping middle of the night just to change the bedsheets and pillows. Besides that, I'm having a migraine attack and I just want to sleep through the night without any disturbance.
Bathroom comes with a bathtub but not sparkling clean. Spacious bathroom but design looks old. Toilet is separated from the shower area with its own transparent cubicle. Water pressure is good. However it's very difficult to control the mix of hot and cold water using the shower valves. It's either too hot or too cold. Their bathroom basin comes with a tall faucet and water splash all over when it comes to handwashing. Besides that, makeup mirror is mounted too high (at least 180cm from the ground). My height is 159cm so you can imagine how difficult it is for me to use that mirror.
Hotel facilities include swimming pool and gym. Hotel lift is operated by touch card system but our room card can access to all floors. I assume they forgot to restrict access of our room card to all floors?
Room rate - RM 1,010.71 for 4 days 3 nights excluding breakfast
