Courtyard by Marriott - Penang
Courtyard by Marriott is located in George Town just 7 minutes (500m) walking distance to the famous Lorong Selamat Char Koay Teow. We had that before we checked into the hotel but sadly the quality doesn't taste that great anymore. We stayed 4 nights in a standard room comes with a king size bed, round desk with an ergonomic chair, huge LED TV with variety of Astro channels, air conditioning with individual temperature control, 4 complimentary bottles of drinking water, coffee or tea making facilities, in-room safe, mini fridge, single sofa, bathrobe, disposable slippers, complimentary masks & disinfectant wipes, complimentary high speed internet, make up mirror and complete toiletries.
Modern, bright, clean and spacious room. Bed is comfy and you can choose your pillow menu as well by contacting their AYS (At Your Service) team. There's 6 types of pillows available - supreme contour memory pillow, medi + health aloe vera soft memory pillow, soft pillow, feather pillow, buckwheat pillow or hard pillow. Bathroom is spacious and shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. Water is hot but pressure is low unless you switch to rain shower.
Hotel facilities include swimming pool (no life guard on duty), gym, steam and sauna room. This is my longest stay in the same hotel room. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and it's nice when a hotel pairs a desk with an ergonomic chair that's comfortable for working from hotel.
