Kek Lok Si Temple - Penang

Kek Lok Si Temple is located at Air Itam, Penang and approximately 20 minutes drive (7.2km) from Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. One of the main attraction is the giant bronze statue of Kuan Yin (The Goddess of Mercy). In order to reach the Kuan Yin statue, you may either take the inclined lift or walk. Bare in mind that if you decided to walk down from the Kuan Yin status, you will end up exiting the temple. That's what happened to us.

Inclined lift operation hour: 8.30am to 5.30pm
Fee: Adult (13 years and above) :- RM 3 - one way / RM 6 - two way
Children (7 years old to 12 years old) :- RM 1.50 - one way / RM 3 - two way

Apart from that, another main attraction is the 7-storey (30m high) Pagoda the "Ban Po Thar". Admission to the temple is free but there's a RM 2 entry charge for the Pagoda. We managed to climb up the Pagoda and it was indeed a good exercise. Overall, we took more than two hours to explore the temple.
