Prudential Hotel - Hong Kong

Prudential Hotel Hong Kong is located in the Tsim Sha Tsui area, just next to the Jordan Station Exit E. The Airbus Route A21 from the airport stops in front of Prudential Center and the hotel is just around the corner. You will need to climb a few stairs to get to the concierge, but fear not as the hotel staff is welcoming and will assist you with your bags. Apart from that, you will need to ride an escalator to reach the hotel reception, which is situated on level 2.

It is only after 3pm that the hotel allows check-in. The elevator to the room floor requires the room key card. We stayed four nights in a superior king room that comes with a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a working desk, air conditioning with individual temperature control, a mini fridge, an in-room safe, two pairs of disposable slippers, a 2-seater sofa, a hair dryer, two complimentary bottles of mineral water, four cans of soda, coffee or tea making facilities, complimentary WiFi and toiletries. The hotel uses type G power outlets. Therefore, we don't require a power plug adaptor.

The room is spacious and clean. The bed is springy, but it's still comfy. Our bed comes with four pillows as well. There are many Cantonese channels on TV and the internet connection is good. The bathroom is spacious and comes with a bathtub. However, the shower and toilet area are only separated by a half-divider. Hence, water tends to splash out into the toilet area. The shower is really hot, but the water pressure is normal. Sink water pressure is low. Apart from that, the hotel only provides one small bottle of shower gel, which is insufficient for the two of us.

The hotel provides daily housekeeping services. They replenish our toiletries and mineral water (two bottles per day, with the exception of the first day when they gave us four bottles) but not our coffee or tea. Level 17 of the hotel has a swimming pool (without a lifeguard on duty), while level 16 has a small fitness facility.

Overall, we had a nice stay, especially considering the location, but in the early morning I could hear people talking and strolling along the hallway.
