Sandakan - Day 5 (Sandakan Town)
We skipped breakfast and had our lunch at Big Three Fish Noodle, 13 minutes drive (6.2km) from Livingston Hotel. (Grab fare - RM 6) I ordered fish mixed bee hoon with milk and kit chai ping (sour plum juice). My partner on the other hand ordered tomyum seafood fried rice and teh ping (iced milk tea). I preferred my fish mixed been hoon with milk as it tastes better. However, the soup base needed more "oomph". I like their bee hoon texture which is springy-soft. Besides that, their chili is spicy, best eaten together with their fresh fish and homemade fish balls. Tomyum seafood fried rice tasted average for me. His iced milk tea tasted a bit bland and not creamy enough. I still prefer my kit chai ping (sour plum juice) which is refreshing and soothing.
Total bill - RM 24.80

After lunch we decided to have some dessert and Crowd 99 Cafe is just 1 minute (92m) walking distance from Big Three Fish Noodle. I ordered waffle with soft served ice cream and mango juice. Their soft served ice cream of the day is mango flavour. Sadly, it's a bit sourish. Besides that, their waffle is not fluffy and crispy enough. Luckily their mango juice isn't sourish and it's refreshing. After dessert, we took a Grab ride back to our hotel. (Grab fare - RM 5)

We went out for dinner at 6.20pm and saw a beautiful sunset from the 6th floor before we entered the hotel lift. We took a Grab ride to Restaurant Ocean King Seafood, 13 minutes drive (6.3km) from Livingston Hotel. (Grab fare - RM 7) We ordered lobsters, steamed grouper fish and steamed tiger prawns with garlic. Really good seafood and we love all the dishes here.
Total bill - RM 263.10

After dinner we took a Grab ride to 7 - Heaven Dessert Parlour, 7 minutes drive (3.8km) from Restaurant Ocean King Seafood. (Grab fare - RM 5) Lovely ambience and great place to chill. This place is famous for their yogurt ice cream. Check out the flavour of the day and toppings before you order your yogurt ice cream.
There's 4 types of frozen yogurt:
a) Yo naked - frozen yogurt flavour of your choice with no topping or garnish
b) Yogurt fruit - frozen yogurt flavour of your choice with mixed fruits
c) Yo dress me up - frozen yogurt flavour of your choice with fresh cut fruits
d) Chocolate fantasy - frozen yogurt ice cream, chunky chocolate, nuts, caramel, crispy waffle crumbs and crispy chocolate top
I decided to go with Yo naked and flavour of the day is mango yogurt. This mango yogurt is definitely nicer compared to the soft served mango that we had at Crowd 99. At least it's not sour. I ordered bubble waffle soft served that comes with chocolate soft served ice cream, cornflakes and bananas. Chocolate soft served is nice but their bubble waffle had burned slightly and not crispy enough. You may choose your bubble waffle flavour - original, matcha or chocolate. I decided to go with original flavour. Our hotel is just 5 minutes drive (2.5km) from 7 - Heaven Dessert Parlor. We took a Grab ride back after dessert. (Grab fare - RM 4.)
