Sydney/Melbourne - Day 5/Day 1 (Eastland Shopping Centre)

It's so thoughtful of Shyan to make us a homemade breakfast before sending us to the airport. Leo purposely come back from work to drive us there. Their place to Sydney Airport is just 20 minutes drive away. We reached Sydney Airport around 11.10am and proceed to check in our baggage. Our flight was scheduled to depart at 12.20pm and check in baggage can only be done 45 minutes before departure time.

The lady who checked in our bags at the domestic terminal was very rude. She raised her voice as we couldn't hear her when she asked us on the items which are not permitted to be checked in. She said "LOOK HERE! LOOK HERE!" pointed at the prohibited items photos displayed on the table. Okay fine... I thought I was just being over sensitive on how she reacted so I just kept quiet. However after she proceed with our check in, she slammed our passport on the table with an annoying face. I didn't want to make a fuss about it at that time because I didn't want to miss my flight!

Anyway, glad that our flight was on time and we reached Melbourne Tullamarine Airport around 2.05pm. We had our late lunch at McDonalds Melbourne Airport before taking the Skybus to the city centre. I had quarter pounder value meal comes with Coke and fries while my partner had BBQ Bacon Angus.

SkyBus transport you between Melbourne Tullamarine Airport and Melbourne City at Southern Cross Station. An adult single journey ticket cost $ 19.75 and it's a 25 minutes bus ride. There's free WiFi on the SkyBus as well. We reached Southern Cross Station around 4.20pm and waited for my childhood friend, Chyme at Tealive. We will be staying at her place for a week. While waiting for Chyme to get off work, my partner bought a cup of fresh lemonade iced tea from Tealive. It tasted so sour that we couldn't finish the whole cup.

Finally I met up with Chyme and I'm so happy to see her in Melbourne. The last time I saw her was one year ago in Malaysia. We have known each other since first grade of elementary school. How time flies... We followed her back home via train. Her husband Lee came and fetch us from the train station once we arrived. Later on, she brought us to Eastland Shopping Centre for dinner. We had  grilled fish at Hunky Dory and it was good. After dinner we went to Coles for a quick shopping before heading back home. Our room was warm and comfy. It's so sweet of Ryan to let us stay at his room for a week...
