Melbourne - Day 3 (South Melbourne Market - Box Hill)
Chyme took the day off and brought me to South Melbourne Market on our 3rd day in Melbourne. After she dropped her son at school, she came back home and fetched me out. My partner lost his voice and had a severe sore throat. So, we asked him to stay at home and rest. Me on the other hand, had a mild sore throat but this will not stop me from going out.
We reached South Melbourne Market around 11am and the first thing I bought was the Chocolate Almond from Agathe Patisserie. Besides Lune, this shop is famous for their croissant too. There's no queue and compared to Lune, the price is slightly cheaper. It has less almond flakes and the texture is slightly chewy. I like the chewy texture and most importantly it's not too sweet. We strolled around South Melbourne Market before we decide where to have our lunch. There's stall selling soap, cloths, bags, accessories, fresh seafood, vegetables, fruits, flowers and variety of foods.

In the end we decided to have our lunch at Chez Dre just less than 100m (1 minute walk) from South Melbourne Market. Chyme ordered Omelette while I ordered Croque Monsieur. Both of us couldn't finish our food and we regretted ordering two plates. Chyme's omelette is simple and nice. Mine tastes good too. Bread is crunchy and I love the melted cheese. However, ginger glow tea taste a bit bland but it smells good. So after lunch, I followed Chyme to do her grocery shopping at South Melbourne Market. Suddenly I don't feel like a traveler but a local Aunty doing grocery shopping on a Friday afternoon!

We left South Melbourne Market around 1.45pm and went to Box Hill Central. It's a shopping centre located in suburb of Box Hill. I wanted to get some bread and Chyme recommended me to try the pork floss dinner roll from Bonbons Bakery. It's good. Soft and fluffy bun stuffed with generous amount of pork floss.

Since my sore throat is not getting any better, I decided to have congee for dinner. Congee is perfect when you are sick. Chyme brought me to Roast Duck Inn, a restaurant located just opposite Box Hill Central. I bought two packets of congee - fish congee for myself and century egg & pork congee for my partner. So that night both of us had congee for dinner and went to bed early.
