Atkinson Clock Tower - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

The Atkinson Clock Tower is one of the oldest building in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. It was built as a memorial to the first District Officer of Kota Kinabalu, Mr. Francis George Atkinson who had died in 1902 of Malaria at the age of 28. The Clock Tower was initiated in 1902 and completed in 1905.

Nothing much you can do up there except taking photos and just a snapshot is enough for most tourist. It's a small clock tower not far away from Gaya Street. There's a parking space beside the clock tower but it's very dusty and in bad condition. I was the only person there on a hot Saturday afternoon. To me, it's not worth the time if you purposely make a trip there.
