Rooms Hotel is located in Kubota Square, easily accessible to eating places and Tawau Airport is just 30 minutes drive (28km) from the hotel. We decided to stay here for 2 nights after our Pom Pom - Mataking Island trip. Basically it's just a shoplot turn into a hotel. There's only 3 floors and hotel lift is small, which probably can fit 4 person without luggage. Lift requires a room card in order to access guest room floor.

We stayed in a deluxe twin room since their superior queen and superior king room are all fully occupied. Our room comes with two single beds, wall mounted fuzzy TV with limited Astro channels, working desk, wall mounted hair dryer, free WiFi (access for 2 devices only), disposable slippers, coffee or tea making facilities, 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, self controlled air conditioning and toiletries.

Room looks modern and stylish but slightly small. Beds and pillows are comfy. However, they only provide one pillow each and we requested additional two pillows from them. Water pressure in the shower is very good but they set a maximum hot water temperature for shower. It's a good thing to prevent scalds during bath time. However, the water is just not hot enough for me. There's only 2 hooks for hanging in the bathroom and no towel bar. Apart from that, shower area has a partial screen but not fully enclosed from the toilet area causing water to splash everywhere. Basically, it's a basic hotel with no in-room safe, mini fridge and facilities.

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
