Scrabble

Scrabble is my all time favourite board game! It is a word game and you need minimum 2 players and maximum 4 players. The words are formed across and down and must appear in standard dictionary.

All the tiles are put in an opaque bag and in total there are 98 letter tiles and 2 blank tiles. These 2 blank tiles carry no point value however you can use as a substitutes for any letters. Whereas the 98 tiles are marked with letters and a point value range from 1 to 10.

To start the game, each player needs to draw a tile and the player who picks the letter closest to the beginning of the alphabet will start first. Then, the first player needs to pick 7 tiles from the opaque bag followed by the other players. Each players will get seven letter tiles and take turns making words on the board. The objective of this game is to score the most points by arranging high scoring words on the board. This will continue until all the tiles in the opaque bag is empty.

If all 7 tiles have been laid on the board in one turn a 50 bonus points are added after all of the words formed have been scored. Below is the photo of all 7 tiles that have been laid on the board. :)
