Batu Seremban

Batu Seremban or five stones is a game often played by girls. It only needs five stones or five round objects to play with. Normally we will make our own five stones by sewing a pouch filling it with rice or seeds. It is easier to play when you sit on the floor.

How to play the game:

Step 1: Using one hand spread the batu seremban on the floor. Make sure they are not touching each other.

Step 2: Take 1 batu seremban, throw it upwards at the same time pick 1 of the batu seremban on the floor and catching the one that you throw earlier. Continue until all the batu seremban on the floor has been picked up.

Step 3: Repeat Step 1 but this time instead of throwing and picking 1 batu seremban on the floor, you need to pick 2 batu seremban. Meaning take 1 batu seremban, throw it upward at the same time pick 2 of the batu seremban on the floor and catching the one that you throw earlier. Repeat this step for the balance batu seremban on the floor.

Step 4: Repeat Step 1. Take 1 batu seremban, throw it upwards and just pick 1 of the batu seremban on the floor at the same time catching the one the one that you throw earlier. However on the second throw, you need to pick all 3 batu seremban.

Step 5: Repeat Step 1. Take 1 batu seremban, throw it upwards and pick up all 4 batu seremban on the floor and catching the one that you throw earlier.

Step 6: Put all 5 batu seremban on the back of your hand, throw it upward and pick up all before it falls on the floor by using one hand.
