My nickname "pixietail"

Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa is located along Tanjung Aru Beach and it's just a short drive (6.8km - approximately 10 minutes drive) from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. We stayed one night in Kinabalu Wing Mountain view room that comes with a king size bed, study table, LCD TV with various types of TV channels but all the channels appear fuzzy, complimentary drinking water, face mask, alcohol wipes, hand sanitiser, coffee or tea making facilities, mini fridge, in-room safe, electric mosquito mat heater, bathrobe, slippers, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, complete toiletries and self controlled air conditioning. Spacious and comfortable room with private garden view balcony. Since it's the rainy season, the view is just the cumulonimbus clouds instead of Mount Kinabalu. Room looks clean but I saw a lot of tiny particles underneath the bedside table. I wonder what it is... Bathroom comes with a bathtub but looks old and not quite sparkling clean. Anyway, g...

It was indeed a short weekend getaway. I woke up at 9am, waited for my partner to get ready and we went for breakfast at 9.30am. Our package includes complimentary breakfast served from 7am to 10am at Macac Restaurant. Breakfast consists of one hot dish item served with a bread basket with butter, jam, honey and a fruit platter. Yippee! It's another short weekend getaway and this time we are going to  Gayana Marine Resort  located in Gaya Island. We took a Grab ride from our place to Jesselton Point (Grab fare - RM 8). We registered our name, scanned our temperature at  Gayana Sales & Reservations office located in Jesselton Point and waited for our boat to depart at 12pm. Before departure, resort staff sprayed our hands with hand sanitizer. Finally our boat departed at 12.10pm and it's a slow 25 minutes boat ride. Upon arrival at Gayana Marine Resort, we were warmly welcomed by one of the resort staff playing traditional music on an array of gong-like instruments. They served us a welcome calamansi drink, one of the best thirst quenchers but it's just too sour for me that I couldn't finish it. All the resort staff follow SOP by wearing a face mask.
