Phu Quoc - Day 6 (Final day)
It was our last day in Phu Quoc, and the morning started off with some rain. We took our time over breakfast at Palm Kitchen, as our flight to Kuala Lumpur wasn't until 2.05pm. After breakfast, we packed up and checked out of the resort at 11.45am. The resort had arranged a free airport shuttle for us at 12pm. By then, the rain had stopped, and we reached Phu Quoc International Airport at 12.17pm.

At the Air Asia check-in counter, both of our bags weighed a total of 20.6kg. Fortunately, the staff was kind enough to let it slide, even though we had only purchased a 20kg luggage allowance. After that, we passed through immigration where our passports were stamped. We then proceed to the security screening, which required us to remove our shoes. By 12.45pm, we were all done and ready to head to the boarding gate.

My partner decided to grab a tuna sandwich and an iced Vietnamese coffee with milk from the Star Cafe kiosk. The total bill came to $11.58, which was paid in dong (298,000 VND) after receiving a discount by registering as a member. The coffee was rich and creamy, but the tuna sandwich had a sour taste and wasn't very enjoyable.
Boarding began at 1.35pm, and the flight departed at 2.10pm, with a duration of 1 hour and 50 minutes. I ordered the Pak Nasser's nasi lemak light combo with Fu Liang tea, as jasmine tea wasn't available. Drink selections included Americano, teh tarik kaw kaw, coconut water, Fu Liang/Ceylone/Jasmine green tea, Yuzu Jasmine Tea, or Santan Latte (with a RM 2 add-on). The nasi lemak was tasty, though the anchovies lacked crispiness and the sambal wasn't very spicy. The Fu Liang tea tasted similar to Chinese teas typically served at local coffee shops.
We landed at KLIA 2 at 5pm. Overall, the people in Phu Quoc were warm and friendly, which made the experience pleasant. However, the street often had stray dogs roaming around, which felt a bit unsafe at times. Apart from that, sidewalks in town were narrow, forcing us to walk along the roadside. Crossing the streets can seem chaotic due to the constant flow of motorbikes and cars, but we learned by observing the locals. They cross by walking slowly and steadily, without running or making sudden moves. This allows motorbike and car drivers time to anticipate their path and maneuver around them. If you are nervous, it's best to wait and cross with a group of locals. One thing I personally struggled with was the hot and humid weather. It left me feeling sweaty and sticky most of the time.
