Dorsett Hartamas - Kuala Lumpur

Dorsett Hartamas is located in Sri Hartamas just opposite Hartamas Shopping Center. However, the shopping center is quite dead and not a good place to shop. We stayed two nights in a superior room with no windows that comes with a king size bed, working desk, complimentary Wi-Fi (good internet speed), self controlled air conditioning, LCD TV with limited Astro channels (only 11 channels - TV1, TV2, TV3, NTV7, TV9, 8TV, BBC World News, CCTV 4, NHK World, ASSP 5 and Cinemax), in-room safe, iron, ironing board, torch light, disposable slippers, hair dryer, complimentary 2 bottles of drinking water, coffee or tea making facilities, mini fridge and basic toiletries.

Room is clean and bed is comfy but there's random stains on the bed sheets. Shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. Normal water pressure and water is hot enough. One thing I dislike when staying in hotels are constant noise from screaming kids. Not to mention door slamming without warning.

Hotel facilities include gym and swimming pool (no life guard on duty). However, we are unable to access to the gym room using our room key card. Key card is required for access to guest room floor. The hotel only has two lifts and waiting time for the lifts are very long. Overall, it's not a pleasant stay here...

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. You can order additional breakfast set at the price of RM 18 for Malay, Chinese or Western breakfast and RM 9 for kids breakfast. 1. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
