The Brunei Hotel - Brunei

The Brunei Hotel is located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei. Omar Ali Saifuddien, the biggest and most beautiful mosque is within walking distance (750m) from the hotel. Apart from that, the hotel is just 15 minutes drive (10km) from Brunei International Airport.

We stayed 1 night in a superior twin bed room that comes with two single beds, working desk, complimentary internet access for 3 devices only, in-room safe, disposable slippers, wall mounted hair dryer, self controlled air conditioning, coffee or tea making facilities, mini fridge, basic toiletries and Android TV with Netflix, YouTube or any available internet channels (select HDMI source). However, half way through watching a movie, the TV turned black screen while giving sound. It was back to normal after I restart the TV.

Room is clean but dimly lit. Bed is hard and bouncy. Hotel only provide one pillow each on the bed. Bathroom is small and shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. Water pressure is good and water is very hot. There's a hot/cold water dispenser at the end of the corridor and they provide an empty bottle for you to refill the water from the dispenser. Key card is not required for lift access to guest room floor. Only 1 room key card is provided. Hotel lift is very small which probably can fit 4 person without luggage.

Daily breakfast start from 7am to 10.30am. YELO Cafe is closed on every Friday from 12pm to 2pm during prayer's time. There's no swimming pool or gym. Since our room is facing the main road, traffic noise can be quite obvious especially during peak hours.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
