T + Premium Hotel - Alor Setar, Kedah

Finally after almost 2 years, my partner gets to go home and reunite with his family members. We choose to stay at the hotel and since his uncle highly recommended T + Premium Hotel we decided to check it out. We reached Alor Setar late evening and check in without reservation. There's 3 types of room available - standard twin, standard double and superior room.

We stayed in a standard double room that comes with a double bed, triangle shape writing table, LCD TV with very limited TV channels, complimentary drinking water, coffee or tea making facilities, hair dryer, self controlled air conditioning and Wi-Fi which is very unstable. In terms of toiletries, they only provide one wall mounted body wash. I assumed it can be used for both body and hair.

Small basic room but there's black stains on the bed sheets. Both shower and toilet share the same sliding door without any lock. So basically if your partner is taking his or her bath with the door closed, you will have to keep your toilet door open while doing your business! Apart from that, the toilet is so small that you can hit your head on the sliding door when you get up from the toilet seat. What gross me out is the nasty toilet bowl! Looks like the earlier guest had a diarrhea and there's poop stains everywhere on the toilet bowl and seat. The housekeeping didn't even bother to clean it properly for the next guest which is us.

Well, that's it. I'm not going to stay another night in this hotel. Not to mention the shower has low water pressure and water is not hot enough. The only plus point is the air conditioning is very cold.

Early check in will be charge RM 20 per room.
Late check out will be charge RM 20 per room before 2pm and RM 50 per room after 2pm.

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
