Bungaraya Island Resort, Sabah - Day 3

It's only 7.30am and I was awakened by water droplets on my skin. When I looked up, I saw the ceiling full of small water droplets on the surface. Indeed a good wake up call for me. Since it only happens on my side of the bed, my partner still sleeping soundly on the other side of the bed. While waiting for him to wake up, I decided to do my final packing as we are leaving the island at 11am today.

We went for our breakfast around 8.45am and his friends almost done with their breakfast. They ordered extra bread basket and yogurts for us as well. It's the same breakfast menu that we had yesterday. Instead of ordering the same hot dishes, we decided to go with nasi goreng kampung and kon lou mien (dry-tossed noodle). I ordered nasi goreng kampung chicken but they serve me nasi goreng kampung seafood. Overall, the food doesn't taste good to me. Well, at least service was so much faster compared to yesterday.

We checked out at 10.45am and all of us gathered at the resort jetty. Our boat departed at 11.10am and 45 minutes later we have arrived at Jesselton Point. We walked over to Jesselton Mall and had one of the best ramen in Kota Kinabalu at Aori Ramen. I ordered Aori ramen lite comes with 2 types of toppings - barbequed marinated pork and leek while my partner ordered chicken katsu curry. We took a Grab home from Jesselton Mall (Grab fare - RM 7) and that ends our 3 days 2 night stay at Bungaraya Island Resort.

Jollibee is a Filipino multinational chain of fast food restaurants. On the day of arrival, we asked our friendly Grab driver what is the must-try food in Philippines and he mentioned Jollibee. So here we at Jollibee located inside Landmark Department Store just 4 minutes (250m) walking distance from  New World Makati Hotel . We ordered 2 pieces of chicken served with rice and drink. Rice is soft. Fried chicken is crispy, flavourful and tender. It comes together with a brown gravy which taste like KFC mashed potatoes gravy. Overall it's good. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Room type: a) Standard quad room b) Standard double room without balcony c) Standard double room with balcony d) Dormitory - 10 person e) Camping We stayed in a standard double room without balcony. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
