Nao Ramen - Perth, Western Australia
I started craving for ramen after our first ramen experience at Dosukoi located in Fremantle Market four years ago. Ever since then, we have been ramen hunting! We found out there's another popular ramen place located in Perth CBD and decided to give it a try.
There's four flavours of broth (chicken and pork base) for you to choose from:
a) Shoyu (soy)
b) Miso (soybean paste)
c) Shio (salty)
d) Spicy (spicy miso)
You can even choose from four types of homemade noodles:
a) white plane egg noodles
b) green - spinach infused noodles (additional $ 0.50)
c) red - red chili infused noodles (additional $ 0.50)
d) black - squid ink infused noodles (additional $ 0.50)
All ramen comes with simple toppings such as bean sprouts, spring onion, bamboo shoots, egg, wakame (fresh seaweed), nori (roasted seaweed) and a slice of roasted pork. You can add extra toppings as well such as sweet corn, vegetable tempura, steamed mix vegetables, spicy cod roe, crab stick, seafood mix, chicken, pork spare rib or minced pork braised with spicy miso.
We went there twice within a week and tried all four flavours of broth. My favourite was the Shio (salty) ramen. I love the texture of the noodles as well. Not too soft and not too hard with a chewy smooth texture. Yes! We have found another favourite ramen place in Perth!
