RWGenting YNOT Graffiti Competition Art Finale Event

Two weeks ago I was invited by Nuffnang to join with other bloggers at the YNOT Graffiti Competition finale event happening in Genting Highlands. This event was hosted by Resorts World Genting and the finale falls on 13th and 14th of April 2013. It's a 2 days 1 night event and the best part is I get to bring along a partner! Hmmn... the last time I went to Genting Highlands was 3 years ago! How time flies... Anyway, here's the 2 days 1 night event in Genting Highlands...
 
Saturday (13 April 2013) Day 1

8:00AM Gather at Wisma Genting, KL. We took a cab from our place to Wisma Genting using My Teksi App. It is very convenient because what you need to do is to download the App into your smartphone and book your taxi directly through the App! Information of the taxi driver including their photo, mobile number and taxi plate numbers will be displayed. Besides that, price range and the location of the taxi driver will also be displayed on your smartphone!

8:30AM Depart from Wisma Genting towards First World Resort. In total there's 2 buses transporting the bloggers and their partners to Genting Highlands. Genting Highlands here we come...

9:30AM Check in luggage at First World Resort's lobby. We were given a blogger pass to enter the Outdoor Theme Park and a headband with the word "YNOT"

10:00AM Head toward the Genting Outdoor Theme Park for the YNOT Graffiti Showdown.

12:30PM Lunch at the Happy Valley Seafood Restaurant. (After lunch we gathered at the First World Resort's Lobby for room check-in) Surprisingly the room was spacious and the bathroom is attached to the toilet. Our window view was the Genting Outdoor Theme Park! (Such a nice view!) I remember few years back when I stayed in the First World Hotel, the room was so small and the toilet and bathroom were separated.

2:30PM SONGKRAN Festival (Thailand's legendary water throwing celebration in Genting Highland!) A couple of topless hunks were seen dancing on the stage. Some of the bloggers joined in the celebration by splashing water and playing with the bubbles. It looked really fun to play with the bubble and water but I decided not to join them since it was freezing cold. Shortly after that it began to rain and sadly the topless hunks have to stop their performance.

6:00PM Dinner at the Coffee Terrace - buffet style. Variety of food for you to choose from. Yummylicious...

Sunday (14 April 2013) Day 2

8:30AM Breakfast at First World Cafe - buffet style.

10:00AM Elecoldxhot, Fix & Bloggers Video Shoot. Yup... we the bloggers get to have a video shoot with the Elecoldxhot & Fix on the Harlem Shake video!

12:00PM Check out from First World Resort and check in our luggage at First World Resort's lobby before heading for our lunch.

1:00PM Lunch at Resort Cafe - buffet style.
 
2:30PM Gather at First World Resort's lobby to collect our luggage.

3:00PM Depart from First World Resort towards Wisma Genting, KL

It was a great trip thanks to both Nuffnang and RW Genting. The performance was very entertaining, the food was superb and we had a fabulous time!

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Room type: a) Standard quad room b) Standard double room without balcony c) Standard double room with balcony d) Dormitory - 10 person e) Camping We stayed in a standard double room without balcony. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
