Restoran Fatty Mee Hoon Kuih House - Klang

My first visit to this Fatty Mee Hoon Kuih House was back in 1997. Gosh... How time flies! One of my friend introduced me to this shop and was told that this is the best mee hoon kuih in Klang. The shop is always crowded with people. During lunch or dinner time, you will have to wait for at least 30 to 45 minutes!

A small bowl of mee hoon kuih cost RM3.50, large - RM3.70 and extra large - RM4.00. Additional egg and fried onion cost RM0.50 each and additional vegetables, anchovies and pork/liver cost RM1.00 each. The mee hoon kuih is cooked separately - one cooking pot for one bowl of mee hoon kuih.

A group of three workers will stand infront of the cooking pots (at least 4 cooking pots), flatten the dough with their palm and tear the mee hoon kuih into pieces by hand. The mee hoon kuih is then cooked in the boiling broth served with slices of pork, pork liver, vegetables, egg (additional order) and anchovies. I preferred to separate the anchovies from the soup so that it doesn't get soggy. The mee hoon kuih texture were thin, smooth, soft and chewy. Besides that, the soup was sweet and flavourful. Delicious!

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay.
