De Leon Hotel - Lahad Datu, Sabah

De Leon Hotel is located in Lahad Datu, about a 7-minute drive (1.4km) from Lahad Datu Airport, making it very convenient for airport access. We stayed for one night in a deluxe twin room, which included breakfast for two people. Lemongrass water was placed on a table in the lobby area as a welcome drink, but it was slightly sweet for our taste. The hotel has only two floors, and our room was on the second floor, directly in front of the lift. The lift can be used without an access card. The hotel has no gym or swimming pool, and overall facilities are limited.

Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 10am. The room does not come with a fridge or an in-room safe, but it does have coffee and tea-making facilities and two complimentary bottles of drinking water. The TV reception was fuzzy and limited to only six channels. The bed was quite hard, and there was only one pillow, which was uneven. Apart from that, the room was dimly lit.

In the bathroom, the toilet roll was already half used, and only one small bottle of shower gel was provided. Water pressure was low, but thankfully water was hot enough. The shower area also had an unstable holder to place the shower gel. After dinner, we returned to the hotel and informed the reception that we needed extra toilet paper and shower gel. A few minutes later, the staff came knocking at our door with the items, along with some additional toiletries. We never expected them to come so fast and were pleasantly surprised by the speed of their service.

We had planned to check out of the hotel at 12pm and board a train to Dongguan at 1pm to meet with one of Ben's potential supplier. However, the plan was cancelled as the supplier was unable to make it and Ben only notified us after we checked out of the hotel at 12pm. In the end, we did nothing for a half day in Guangzhou and missed the opportunity to see his supplier in Dongguan. Guangzhou - Day 2 (Canton Fair Complex - Beijing Road)

I woke up early in the morning with a swollen leg, but luckily it is still not that painful when I walk. I couldn't go back to sleep since there's a mosquito that keeps buzzing in my ear. It seems that the pesky insect didn't bother my partner as much as it did me. Anyway, we left our hotel around 10am to look for food. Whenever we travel, I will prepare a list of food itineraries. However, I do not have a complete list this time since I am unable to read Chinese characters. There is very limited information available online in English. There are a few famous restaurants on my list, but I'm not sure if the addresses are correct. So, we asked the hotel front desk about the nearest Guangzhou Restaurant. Hong Kong (III) - Day 1 (Golden Bauhinia Square - Hong Kong Art Centre)

Hokkaido has always been on our travel bucket list, and now we are finally going. Since there is no direct flight from Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) to New Chitose Airport (CTS), we decided to make a stop in Hong Kong for two nights. We purchased a return ticket from KKIA to HKIA with Air Asia (RM 972.71 per person) and a return ticket from HKIA to CTS with Cathay Pacific (RM 3,019.88 per person). We were notified the night before that our flight would be delayed for two hours. So we left home at 9.15am via Grab (Grab fare - RM 14). When we arrived at the airport, we found out that the flight had been delayed for another 30 minutes. Since we had plenty of time, we decided to relax and enjoy breakfast at McDonald's.
