The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur - Shah Alam, Selangor

The Saujana Hotel Kuala Lumpur is located in Shah Alam's business district, just 7 minutes drive (5km) from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport or also known as Subang Airport. The hotel is surrounded by greenery and has a lakeside view. We chose to stay at this hotel because we will be attending training nearby.

We stayed three nights in an executive deluxe room that comes with a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV with limited channels (no movie channels are available), a couch, a spacious work station, air conditioning with individual temperature control, two complimentary bottles of drinking water, an in-room safe, coffee or tea making facilities, a mini fridge, disposable slippers, a bathrobe, an iron, an ironing board, complimentary Wi-Fi and toiletries.

The room is very spacious and clean. The bed is comfy and the pillows are nice but it smells of cigarettes. They gave us a smoking room without even asking. We smell a musty cigarette odor as we enter the room and the lighting is dim. As usual, the in-room safe is not operating and we have to call the maintenance to inspect it. Apart from that, there is a buzzing noise coming from the electrical box within the wardrobe. We informed the person who came to fix the in-room safe, but she just shrugged and said it wasn't a big deal.

The bathroom has a bathtub, but it appears to be old and chipped on the interior. Water pressure is good but there's inconsistency between hot and cold water. The shower is separated from the toilet area with its own cubicle. However, the shower wall looks dirty with stains.

The hotel has a swimming pool (no lifeguard on duty), fitness centre, golf course and spa. I get lost every time I walk back to the hotel room since the area is so large. A lift access card is not required. Apart from that, there is no security in an open-air parking lot, so we can walk directly to our hotel room which is located on the ground floor.
