Korea/Brunei - Day 12 (Myeongdong)/Day3 (Gadong)

It's our last day in Seoul, Korea. We checked out from Aloft Seoul Myeongdong at 11am and dragged our luggage to the bus stop in front of Ibis Myeongdong Hotel. The bus stop is just 4 minutes walking distance (320m) from Aloft Seoul Myeongdong. The cheapest way to get to Incheon International Airport (ICN) from Seoul is by AREX. However, the only setback is we have to carry our luggage down the subway stairs.

Instead of taking AREX, we decided to try the Airport bus 6015. The hotel front desk has all the information that we needed including the timetable for Airport bus 6015. We took the 11.12am bus (Bus fare - ₩ 17,000 per person) from Myeongdong to ICN Terminal 1. At each bus stop, the driver will get down from the bus and help the passengers to store their luggage in the luggage compartment under the bus. The seats are very comfortable and it's compulsory for everyone to buckle up.

Finally our bus departs from Mapo Station around 12pm and we reached ICN Terminal 1 at 12.45pm. The bus took approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to reach the airport after making many stops to pick up passengers. Our flight scheduled to depart at 3.05pm and we still have another 1 hour 40 minutes before our boarding time at 2.25pm. However check in process at the airport is very slow. We queued for 1 hour and 10 minutes just to check in our luggage and we have yet to have our lunch.

While my partner is still in queue, I quickly went to Paris Baguette and grab a chicken cutlet sandwich. The sandwich is good. We had it while queueing for our check in. After check in, our bags are scanned with an X-Ray machine. We need to stand there and wait for 5 minutes before we can proceed to the immigration clearance. We still have another 25 minutes before our boarding time! There's a long queue at the immigration clearance but luckily it's fast and smooth.

My partner still managed to grab a ham sandwich from Dunkin Coffee House before we board the flight at 2.25pm. Our flight departs on time at 3.05pm (Seoul time) and the journey takes approximately 5 hours and 20 minutes to reach Brunei International Airport. Food was served around 4pm and I had chicken with fried rice which is good. Our meal comes with kimchi, broccoli, baby carrots, bread, a tube of Korean sauce and a slice of pineapple. Their kimchi doesn't have that good fermented taste. Instead it tastes very unpleasant.

We reached Brunei International Airport around 7.30pm. We went through a 30 minutes immigration process and by 8pm we're at P2 parking waiting for our Dart car. We took a Dart car from Brunei International Airport to The Centrepoint Hotel (Dart fare - $ 8.90). The hotel is just 10 minutes drive (6.7km) from the airport. We checked in the hotel at 8.30pm and I have to skipped dinner as I had a bad migraine.

Our initial plan was to visit Gadong night market after we landed. Ended up my partner had to go there alone. The market is just 10 minutes walking distance (800m) from The Centrepoint Hotel. He had chicken skewers ($ 1 per stick) which turned out to be cold and full of chicken skin. Majority of the stalls close at 10pm. In the end he had McD - double beef burger meal with fries and milo ($ 7) for his late dinner.
