JW Marriott Hotel - Kuala Lumpur

JW Marriott Hotel is strategically located in Bukit Bintang Kuala Lumpur just opposite The Pavilion KL and directly connected to the Starhill Mall at the ground floor. The hotel is surrounded by malls (within walking distance to Fahrenheit 88, Lot 10 shopping mall, Sungai Wang Plaza and Suria KLCC shopping mall), eatery places and restaurants. We love city life and this hotel is perfect for a short escape.

We stayed 3 nights in a superior king that comes with a king size bed, round desk with an ergonomic chair, huge LED TV with limited channels, air conditioning with individual temperature control, 2 bottles of sealed drinking water, coffee or tea making facilities (comes with a coffee machine), in-room safe, mini fridge, couch, bathrobe, disposable slippers, disinfectant wipes, complimentary Wi-Fi, hair dryer, weighing scale, umbrella and complete toiletries including mouth wash.

Modern, bright, clean and spacious room. Bed is comfy and comes with 6 pillows. Bathroom is very spacious and comes with a small deep bathtub. In fact, there's a dressing table and chair inside the bathroom. Shower is separated from the toilet area with its own transparent cubicle. Water pressure is very good and I just love the hot shower.

Hotel facilities include swimming pool - no life guard on duty (located at level 6) and fitness centre (located at level 5). Key card is required for access to guest room floor, swimming pool and fitness centre. Overall it's a pleasant stay except for the slow check in process and the lifts are always full load at all time. Apart from that, I can hear screaming kids and hacking cough on the other side of the wall. After check out, we left our luggage at their luggage storage area and when we came back to collect our luggage, they gave us an extra luggage which is not ours. Somehow, they accidentally tagged our luggage with another guest's luggage. Hopefully, that guest won't have a hard time looking for his/her luggage.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Room type: a) Standard quad room b) Standard double room without balcony c) Standard double room with balcony d) Dormitory - 10 person e) Camping We stayed in a standard double room without balcony. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
