APA Hotel TKP Nippori-ekimae - Tokyo
APA Hotel TKP Nippori-ekimae is just 2 minutes (130m) walking distance from Nippori Station but you will have to carry your luggage down a long stairway from the station. If you have big luggage and need an escalator, use east exit from Nippori Station. There's another train station, Nishi-Nippori Station which is just 10 minutes (800m) walking distance from the hotel. Family Mart is just 1 minute (100m) walking distance from the hotel. Basically in Japan, you tend to see Family Mart or 7-Eleven on every corner!
The area is very quiet at night. On one of the nights, while we were walking from Nishi-Nippori Station to our hotel, there's this drunk local Japanese guy trying to get free sex from two Caucasian lady walking behind us. Luckily the guy stepped away when the ladies firmly told them off. So ladies, be careful when you're walking alone at night!
We stayed 2 nights in a double room with small double bed. The room is small but it's clean. Bed slightly bouncy but it's comfortable. Our room comes with a working desk, large LCD TV with limited channels (there's adult channel available for subscription), hair dryer, yukata, disposable slippers, room slippers, mini fridge and complete toiletries including disposable towel. Just like APA Hotel Shinjuku Kabukicho Tower, the air conditioner was set only on heat mode but there's a box fan on the floor. Bathroom comes with a small bathtub and there's a signage saying the water is drinkable from the tap. Shower water pressure is good and most importantly water is hot enough.
Seems like all the APA hotel practice eco-friendly cleaning service whereby bed sheets and pillow cases will not be changed until the 4th day. Complimentary two bottles of drinking water will only be given from 2nd night onwards. Housekeeping will only include bed making, room cleaning, change of towels and nightwear, amenities and emptying of trash cans and ashtray. Overall it was a pleasant stay in both APA hotel. Even though the room is very small, it's clean and comfortable. Security wise is good as lift is operated by touch card system. You may leave your luggage at the reception area after check out if you still need more time for shopping before your flight.
