Party Play Lifestyle Cafe - Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Most of the time we will have early dinner to avoid traffic jams and crowds. Besides, it's easier to look for a parking spot during off peak hours. This time we decided to check out Party Play. Located at Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu - Sabah, we found a great parking spot right in front of the restaurant. When we got there before 6pm, only three tables were occupied. All of them were there just to grab a drink. We went through the menu and ordered grilled Tasmanian lamb shoulder and honey grilled chicken fillet. Initially I wanted to order pan roaster butter fish fillet but seems that they have yet to defrost the fish. So, I ended up with honey grilled chicken fillet.

There's eight main course for you to choose from:

1) Grilled Tasmanian lamb shoulder - RM 28
2) Braised lamb shank - RM 36
3) Grilled grainfed angus rib eye - RM 75
4) Honey grilled chicken fillet - RM 28
5) Pan fried Tasmanian salmon - RM 36
6) Pan roasted cod fillet - RM 45
7) Classic snapper fish and chips - RM 26
8) Pan roasted butter fish fillet - RM 32

Honey grilled chicken fillet comes with sauteed Shimeji mushroom, potato puree, cherry tomato, honey mustard sauce and mashed potatoes. I love this dish. Mashed potatoes were so creamy and perfectly smooth. Besides that, honey mustard sauce was delicious too. If only they increase the amount of sauce. Chicken fillet cooked to perfection. Yum! It was tender and juicy.

Whereas for grilled Tasmanian Lamb Shoulder that comes with tomato Ratatouille, black pepper glazed and truffle mashed potato is not my favourite dish due to the lamb gamey flavour.
