Chor Lau Hiong - Ipoh, Perak

Image
We discovered another dessert spot in Ipoh that opens at night, named Chor Lau Hiong. We ordered c oconut milk ruby jackfruit with nata de coco jelly, as well as r ed beans with lotus seeds, lily bulbs and rice balls. Overall, it's good. Rice balls are soft and chewy. We prefer black sesame rice balls over peanuts. The red bean soup is slightly sweet, so if you are craving something sweet, this is the right bowl for you. C oconut milk ruby jackfruit with nata de coco jelly is also tasty. This dessert has a rich coconut taste that goes well with jackfruit and cendol. On top of that, we also ordered a small serving of mochi. Both were good. The tau fu fa is smooth with a fragrant pandan flavour. The mochi is soft and chewy. We wanted to order the original tau fu fa later, but they only accept takeaway after 9.40pm since they close at 10pm. The next day, we went to another branch and ordered their original tau fu fa with grass jelly and aiyu jelly. The texture isn't as smooth as the pandan flavour. We both agree that pandan tau fu fa tastes better. On the o
