Hilton - Kuching, Sarawak

Hilton Kuching is located in the city center just 10 minutes walking distance to Kuching Waterfront. Our room has an excellent view of Sarawak river and Kuching Waterfront. We stayed in a twin executive room that comes with 2 single beds, TV with limited channels (the only movie channel available is Astro Cinemax), in room safe, mini fridge, 2 complimentary bottles of drinking water, coffee or tea making facilities, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, bathrobe, disposable slippers, free WiFi, individual air-conditioning temperature control, working desk, radio alarm clock and basic toiletries.

The hotel is currently under renovation and only half of the rooms are available for booking. Hence, all the available rooms are fully booked and we were lucky to get a room but all king size bed room has been occupied. Renovation starts at 8am and glad that only on our final day we heard the loud drilling sound. Room looks clean, spacious and comfy. Bed is comfy but there's some stains on my pillow case and comforter.

Toilet looks old with low shower pressure and water temperature. There's black stain under the rim of the toilet bowl and their toilet seat colour doesn't match the bowl. Shower and toilet is separated with a glass door. They only provide 1 small bottle of Crabtree & Evelyn shower gel and basic toiletries. It's definitely not enough for the 2 of us especially when we shower at least twice a day. Not to mention they provide poor quality toilet papers as well.

Hotel facilities include gym and swimming pool. Both facilities are located on the 1st floor. A key card is not required to access the lift. You just need the key card to enter your room.

Our stay in  Kinabalu Pine Resort  comes with breakfast for 2 adults. Breakfast start from 7am to 10am. They only serve ala-carte breakfast and you need to pre-book it at The Pines Restaurant latest by 9.30pm for your next day's breakfast. There's Malay, Chinese, Western or kids breakfast set. Apart from that, there's free flow of Tenom coffee, Sabah tea, mango and orange juice. Hounon Ridge Farmstay & Camping - Kundasang, Sabah

Hounon Ridge Farmstay is located at Kampung Himbaan Bundu Tuhan, 36 minutes drive from Kundasang town. The road heading to Bundu Tuhan is very steep and narrow. There's no street light and driving at night can be hazardous if you are not familiar with the road condition. Be particularly alert when driving and watch out for cows, chickens and stray dogs on the side of the road. There's 4 types of room available. If you are the adventurous type and not afraid of cold, you can even camp outside Hounon Ridge Farmstay. Our room was on the 1st floor overlooking Mount Kinabalu. Great view and you can slide the glass window to get some fresh air.
